AOL today launched a completely redesigned version of AOL News that adopts an innovative blog format, combining traditional news sources, AOL programming and social news, all in an easy-to-use single-page experience.
The new AOL News site homepage features regularly updated top news stories selected by AOL's editorial news staff, delivered in a blog-style format that lets users vote and comment on each story. There's also embedded video, photos and polls that let users watch and interact with the news without leaving the site.
The homepage also runs updated news headlines, photos and breaking videos from major news sources, including The Associated Press, ABC News, CBS News, CNN and others, as well as links to AOL's roster of news bloggers, including Mo Rocca, Dinesh D'Souza, The Young Turks and Power Line.
